Harpist Krista Strader

Krista not only played beautiful music at our wedding ceremony but was was also amazing to work with. My fiancé and I planned a California wedding from New York. Planning a wedding is difficult in itself--add 3,000 miles between where you live and where you are getting married and it can make planning a little tricky. Krista was super responsive and took the time to prepare for our wedding by outlining our ceremony music and discussing, in detail, the overall flow of our ceremony. With her help we were able to pull off a seamless wedding ceremony. On the day of your wedding all you want is for everything to run smoothly. We cannot thank Krista enough for helping us prepare and for playing everything out just as we discussed. We 100% recommended Krista!

Krista has a pretty comprehensive website and you can get a very good idea of what you're getting just by visiting her online. Of course, you never really know with vendors until you meet them in person, but in this instance she definitely did not disappoint. She was prompt and professional in all her correspondence leading up to our wedding. On the day of, she looked very beautiful and her performance not only matched but exceeded our expectations. The missing 0.1 point in her rating is only because she was more expensive than 3 other musicians we considered for the ceremony. In my opinion, this was money well spent nonetheless.

Excellent harpist. Very pleasant and easy to work with. We also wanted a steel drum at our wedding and she coordinated with him to create a ceremony and cocktail hour that were beautiful.

Krista is fabulous. I would give her 10 stars. She is extremely talented on the harp, as well as hip and beautiful. I am sad I did not get to hear all of her performance on our wedding day. One of the downfalls of being the bride. She is so professional and handles every detail. I had to convince my husband and in -laws at first. They had wanted a string quartet. Once they heard Krista, I had my harpist. I told her and it was true, she was one of the easiest decisions to make for the whole wedding. Plus, her fees are very reasonable. She was a delight to meet with and she has very good suggestions. She is constantly expanding her song base. She is very versatile classics to modern day music. My favorite is Coldplay. She was the best! She has to have the biggest repoirtre for a harpist. As I was walking down the aisle in the Brix Restaurant Garden and she played Claire de Lune, which I actually emailed to her that early afternoon, it brought me to tears.

Krista not only plays beautiful harp music but she is gorgeous herself. We conversed over email smoothly and she did everything to a T. She is prompt and professional. I couldn't be happier. We had so many compliments at how nice the harp music sounded. I highly recommend her for anyone looking for a beautiful ceremony music.

Krista was absolutely wonderful at our May wedding! She is professional, sweet, and extremely talented. The day I first heard her play at her studio, I knew immediately that she would be perfect for our garden wedding. Her music was so beautiful that I was trying hard to hold back the tears while she was playing. When running into issues with the timeline as it got closer to the wedding date, she was very understanding and flexible, which really put me at ease. I can't thank her enough! She was one of the most talked about among our guests. Without hesitation, I highly recommend Krista.

LOVE KRISTA!!!!! We went to our tasting at the Casa Real and first saw Krista there under a beautiful spotlight with roses surrounding her...we both got chills. My husband (fiance at the time) had only asked for golf the morning of the wedding at this point of planning, and his second, and last, request was Krista and her amazing harp! DONE! Krista not only has a love for what she does, but has the most amazing personality. My mom and I went to her studio to pick songs and we both adore her! She feels like a friend from the minute you meet her! Picking songs may be difficult, ONLY because she plays EVERYTHING amazingly! If you want that something different for your ceremony and cocktail hour, that no one would expect, but everyone will adore...I HIGHLY recommend Krista! My guests were blown away with her talent and the feel that she brought to the ceremony! It was truley amazing! MAGICAL! From Ave Maria (my isle walk) to Cold Play (Moms' isle walk)... she has you covered on all genres of music! Again...I would recommend Krista TO EVERYONE! You will not be disappointed whatsoever! Krista is very professional and talented. I really enjoyed working with her throughout my wedding planning. She assisted me with my song selections that best fit my wedding ceremony and cocktail hours. She is very friendly and patient. My mom and I were so pleased with her performance at my wedding. Not only her service was beyond my expectations but her music was phenomenal. She had played her music so beautifully. I would highly recommend Krista for brides who are looking for beautiful music at their wedding ceremony.

Krista was an absolute WONDER to work with. First, she was able to squeeze us into her Sunday schedule even though she had another event that day; we booked her a little late, because we thought the ceremony/cocktail hour would be okay without live music. Second, she was accommodating when scheduling a consultation with us. Third, she was extremely helpful with aiding us in choosing the right songs for every 'event' in the ceremony. She even learned "Happy Together" by Jack Johnson for us to play as the recessional! Fourth, she's unique and so, SO talented! As I said before, my husband and I were debating on whether we wanted live music or not for the ceremony and cocktail hour. In hindsight, the entire ambiance and mood of the evening would not have been the same without Krista. We had a DJ for the reception, but she definitely helped setting up the overall tone of the wedding to be classy, elegant, and chic. It has been over a month since our wedding, and I am still receiving compliments on how everything turned out and how beautifully Krista played. A harp isn't something you always see at a ceremony, so it was nice to have something unique. I was lucky to have incredibly wonderful vendors and would recommend Krista to another bride-to-be in a heartbeat :).

Krista did a wonderful job at giving our wedding ceremony the feel that we wanted. Our personal consultation was so nice we got a change to sit and hear her play for only us and decide exactly what we wanted for our wedding. Although we didn't get to enjoy her as much as we would have loved to on our own wedding day we heard nothing but nice things about her from our guests. It gave our outdoor vineyard wedding just the touch it needed.

Krista was very helpful in organizing the wedding ceremony, and she offered great music recommendations for each part of the ceremony from the prelude music to the exit song. She would play on her harp a few song choices in order to help you decide what song would work best. She is very knowledgeable and professional. The harp music complemented the outdoor ceremony very well.

Krista was wonderful to work with - responsive, accommodating, patient, and a truly skilled harpist. She was the perfect choice for our wedding.

I cannot say enough about Krista. Professional, amazingly talented, & easy going to name a few qualities. Having Krista play at our wedding added such a touch of class to our event that I am still getting compliments 6 months later! To say her repertoire is extensive is an understatement. On top of everything, she is a really cool person. Come on who else plays Coldplay on the harp?

A nice final touch on a small private wedding. Very professional and not to mention photogenic. A bit expensive, but worth the cost for a once in a life time memory. Need to book in advance during busy season to ensure availability.

We didn't really know exactly what kind of music was great for our wedding, but she is very experience that she choose all the right pieces and our guest thought she was great! Krista has an amazing talent on the harp. Her professionalism was outstanding. She is very flexibil and is a great value for your money. I would use her again in a heartbeat! Krista was a complete success at my wedding. She first gave me one of her CD's to listen to. I fell in love right away with her serene playing and knew I wanted her over a four piece band. Her playing was angelic while my bridesmaids and I floated down the aisle. So many of the guests complemented her. Not only is her music beautiful, but so is she as a person. She was kind and friendly, and willing to drive all the way up to Malibu from San Diego, just for an hour or so. I highly recommend snatching her up!
